The Karlspreis Europa Summit aims to provide a forum for vital and lively debates between decision-makers from the realms of politics, science, economics, media, society and the grant holders of the Charlemagne Prize Fellowship. The event is organised annually in cooperation with the State Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, aiming at an open debate that connects scientific approaches, political developments, European trends and innovative ventures.
The year 2020 has posed new challenges to all of us. At such a time it is particularly important not to neglect mutual exchange, which is why we would like to create a space for discussion and networking with this first ever virtual event of the Charlemagne Prize Foundation. We are looking forward to many interesting speakers and participants, with special appreciation for the Charlemagne Prize Laureate 2020.
Join us through an exciting programme with live panel discussions, interviews, political statements and various networking opportunities.

As the most recent initiative in the 70-year history of the Charlemagne Prize, the Academy has been awarding a one-year research fellowship annually since last year to young talents, who want to implement one-year research projects on relevant questions on the future of Europe.
Our first Fellows will present their research findings at the Karlspreis Europa Summit Summit.
We would like to share and discuss these ideas with you!
