During the Karlspreis Europa Summit you can follow an exciting live programme and interact with the speakers through a Q&A tool. In between the sessions you will have the opportunity to schedule individual meetings, exchange ideas with our fellows and easily create your own individual event programme according to your personal availability.
During the registration process, you will need to enter your email address and your full name. You can also fill in your network profile by providing information about your institution or company and by adding a profile picture.
After successful completion of your registration you will receive a confirmation by email. From this point on you can start networking directly and create your individual agenda.
On the day of the event you simply log in with your email address and the password you have chosen during the registration.
During the event, you will find the link to the Live-Stream directly on your personal dashboard. This comprises the main stage of the event and presents Panel Discussions, Interviews and Presentations - just as indicated in the programme schedule.
Using a Q&A tool next to the stream, you can submit questions that will be forwarded to the sessions moderator.
During the virtual panel discussions, it's not possible to schedule individual networking meetings.
In the programme overview you will find information about the main programme including contents, keynotes and speakers. You can easily follow this programme via the Live-Stream.
Between the individual sessions, various time slots are offered for virtual meetings, where you can fill your individual agenda with specially selected 1:1 meetings.
If you are invited to individual meetings or roundtables, this will also be displayed in your agenda and you can decide whether you would like to participate.
In list of attendees you will find other participants, representatives of our committees or our fellows with whom you can easily arrange a virtual meeting through only one click.
Ask for meetings with participants of your choice for specific time slots and decide for yourself whether you want to accept or reject incoming meeting requests. Our matchmaking algorithm will also suggest who among the other participants might be a suitable discussion partner for you. Your calendar will then be filled with pre-scheduled meetings and interested discussion partners. If you have scheduled a meeting, simply click on "Start Video Meeting" in your Agenda at the respective time.
Further, you can send and receive messages, join virtual coffee lounges or concentrate exclusively on the main programme and the integrated Q&A chat function. We offer you various tools to expand your network during this event.
In the programme item "Presentation", our Charlemagne Prize Fellows 2019/20 will present the results of their one-year research projects.
The following topics will be considered:
- 'The Conference on the Future of Europe'.
- A "fresh" design for the EU's asylum system
- Misinformation about the COVID-19 crisis
- EU Enlargement of the Western Balkans
Get into conversation with our Fellows, discuss the results presented, give feedback or simply follow the individual discussion rounds! You will find a separate Thematic Coffee Lounge for each topic in your navigation bar, which can be joined by up to 10 participants at a time.
The Converve Meeting solution is web based and can be used on both desktop and mobile devices. We recommend that meetings be carried out on larger devices, such as desktop computer or notebooks, as features such as screensharing may be difficult to use.
